What is your favorite sports moment at K?
Winning the home tournament freshman year and setting the standard that became a 7-0 streak. Also Trinidad and Tobago was an amazing experience that cannot even be put into words.

What is your most memorable academic experience at K?
The opportunity to be a research assistant in two psychology labs here at K, particularly the rat lab since I have been a part of that the longest. It's very cool to see the process first-hand and build on new discoveries.

Why did you choose to attend Kalamazoo College?
I chose Kalamazoo College because of its high academic standard and study abroad opportunities, but my ability to play volleyball here was also an important part of my decision.

What do you enjoy most about road trips during your season?
What I enjoy most about road trips during the season is simply being with my teammates. They are the only group of people who love the game enough to sit on a bus for several hours or longer when there are a million and one other things we could be doing.

What is your least favorite thing about road trips during your season?
Doing homework/studying/writing papers on the bus.

Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?
Kanani Danielson is my all-time favorite athlete. She is my height which is considered short for a front row player in volleyball, but she absolutely dominates. She was a four-time All-American outside hitter at the University of Hawaii and I had the opportunity to be coached by her one summer and she is an incredible athlete and person. Also I want to do a shout out to Jack Flynn here too because of his athletic talent and determination in the weight room.

Who is your favorite professor and why?
I have a few favorite professors: Jan Solberg in the French department and Drs. Batsell, Hostetter, Perry, and Fletcher in the psychology department. These professors have gone above and beyond for their students, but that is not to say that I haven't had many other amazing professors here at K.

Other than the sport you play, what other sports activity are you good at?
I'm not terrible at soccer and track.

Is there another game in which you dominate? (card games, lawn games, pool, darts, etc.)
Sometimes I'm okay at euchre.

Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby?
Outside of sports, I love to read.

What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria?
Not a diss on the caf, but I just honesly can't think of what my all-time favorite dish is there.

Who is your role model?
I have many role models who all serve different purposes for me. My mom is definitely one, my cousins Erin and Lindsey, Kanani Danielson, and pretty much all of the strong women I have come to know in my life.

What do you enjoy most about practice?
I enjoy playing volleyball at practice with my friends. It's pretty much the most fun thing I can do.

What do you like least about practice?
Boring drills that hurt.

What is the topic of your SIP?
How gesture affects deontological or utilitarian moral judgements.

What are your plans/goals after graduation?
My goal after graduation is to pursue my PhD in clinical psychology.
