What is your favorite sports moment at K?
Winning the conference championship.
What is your most memorable academic experience at K?
Studying abroad in Greece - it was the time of my life.
Why did you choose to attend Kalamazoo College?
I chose to attend K to pursue an athletic career at a well-ranked school that offered a great study abroad program.
What do you enjoy most about road trips during your season?
Playing mafia on the bus.
What is your least favorite thing about road trips during your season?
Being on a hot bus with sweaty, smelly teammates.
Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?
Tom Brady because he is a great leader and has a relentless attitude.
What is your favorite class and why?
My anthropology class in Greece was my favorite because I had the opportunity to learn about an entirely different culture while also being a part of that culture.
Who is your favorite professor and why?
Hannah Apps is my favorite professor because she does her best to make sure her students learn.
Other than the sport you play, what other sports activity are you good at?
I've always been a big sports guy so I would say I am pretty good across the board, but especially football, basketball, and beach volleyball.
Is there another game in which you dominate? (card games, lawn games, pool, darts, etc.)
I would say I'm pretty unstoppable at ping pong. Just ask my roommates.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby?
I love to listen to music and practice investing on Investopedia.
What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria?
Wing Wednesday if they are fried properly and have good sauces.
Who is your role model?
My first baseball coach, Coach Morrow.
What do you enjoy most about practice?
Being with my team, competing against each other and for each other.
What do you like least about practice?
It's not the game.
What are your plans/goals after graduation?
After graduation my goal is to work in the financial services industry in equity research, trading, or asset management.
