What is your favorite sports moment at K?
It is a tie between both times we beat Hope for the shoes. After this season, it will be after we beat Albion for our last game.

What is your most memorable academic experience at K?
For my acting class, Developing a Character, Dr. Karen Berthel gave us an assignment that seemed impossible the moment we got the sheet. She even said when she had to do it as a student, she thought it was difficult. We had to create a 15 minute solo performance that was a slow of different monologues and characters. The kicker was it had to make sense for a story as a whole. It was a life changing experience!

Why did you choose to attend Kalamazoo College?
I chose to attend K I'd get a great education, small class sizes, the opportunity to play football, and I thought it was the best route to success.

What do you enjoy most about road trips during your season?
Goofing around with teammates in non-serious moments. During serious moments, I like to vibe with some good tunes.

What is your least favorite thing about road trips during your season?
I get bad neck cramps from falling asleep in odd positions.

Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?
Tom Brady because he was never supposed to be thee greatest ever and now he is. I also love Dick "Night Train" Lane because he was one of the best Lions ever.

What is your favorite class and why?
Developing a Character because it was challenging, I learned a lot about myself, and gained more empathy for others.

Who is your favorite professor and why?
It is very tough to say who is my favorite. If I had to name one, I'd say Dr. Zaide Pixley. She was my first ever professor and I learned so much from her. She was also my advisor for a few years. During tough times, Dr. Pixley was there for me and I don't know if I would have lasted at this school if it wasn't for her.

Other than the sport you play, what other sports activity are you good at?
Any sport you name, I will tell you I'm pretty average at it.

Is there another game in which you dominate? (card games, lawn games, pool, darts, etc.)
I am a good euchre player. My mom taught me to be a good blackjack and craps player, but my talents are just limited to those games.

Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby?
Jet skiing. I am a big jet ski guy. I also love pranking people.

What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria?
Either Karen's omelettes or chicken nuggets. I just can't wait in the line for Taco Tuesday.

Who is your role model?
My mom. She is the best leader I have ever seen. Aside from that, she has taught me to be ambitious in pursuing my goals and to always try to be loving towards others even when people are not loving back.

What do you enjoy most about practice?
Those moments that remind me of why I play football. It could be moments of great interactions among my coaches and teammates or it could be a moment when we make a great play.

What do you like least about practice?
Our Flex period which is our dynamic warmup/stretching period. even though it is my least favorite, I could not live without it. Coach Mac's Flex period helps relieve all of the pains in the body. I feel like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz receiving oil on my joints whenever I am finished with the Flex period.

What are your plans/goals after graduation?
I am looking to acquire both a JD and MBA right out of undergrad. From there, I will work as an attorney somewhere, and then I eventually want to open up my own practice. My mom owns her own substance abuse clinic and she looks very cool when she's the boss and does her job well; I want to be that. She has also helped a tremendous amount of people and I pray to do the same one day.
