My Summer
This summer I worked in the Orthopedic Research Laboratories at the University of Michigan. I enjoyed learning lab techniques and then being confident enough to apply them on my own during my experiments. I also enjoyed sitting in on weekly seminars where researchers from different labs discussed and collaborated on one topic. This experience gave another perspective of science and its influence and integration with medicine. I want to pursue a career in medicine and this experience was valuable as it has provided me with an appreciation for the research that allows for many medical advances.
What's Next
I look forward to contributing what I can to the K community whether that be in soccer, classes, clubs, or service. I also look forward to enjoying all of the little moments that are often easy to take for granted when you have 2, 3, or 4 years still left ahead of you.
