A generous donor has stepped forward with a commitment to create and name an indoor golf practice facility inside Kalamazoo College's Anderson Athletic Center. This new "Hornet Golf Lab" will be a state-of-the-art practice facility that will enable our golf teams, students, faculty, and alumni to practice and improve their games year round. K will be one of the few Division III colleges with access to this type of PGA Tour level technology right on campus.
The room will include two hitting bays, one of which will contain a fully-equipped Trackman simulator -- used by more PGA tour pros and instructors for game analysis and improvement than any other device. Additionally, team members will have access to full video analysis and a wide variety of courses to play on the simulator. Also planned for the space is a 28'x28' putting surface, complete with slopes and chipping areas. Player lockers and a coach's area are included in the plans as well.
