HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's and women's swimmers competed at the MIAA Relays Friday evening. No team scores are generated at this event.
The men's 1500 free relay finished second with a time of 15:17.29 (Sharif Shaker, Matt Howrey, Tyler Sakalys-Moore). The women's 1500 free relay came in third at 16:46.62 (Emily Tenniswood, Mary Trimble, Lesli Washington).
Other top five finishes for the men included Sharif Shaker (4th, 50 fly, :24.21), 400 IM relay (4th, Michael Orwin, Matt Howrey, Tyler Sakalys-Moore, Sharif Shaker - 3:48.93) and the 500 progressive relay (5th, Armaan Sood-Mankar, Scott Roberts, Nick Nerhood, Luke Durden - 4:29.26).
Other top five finishes for the women included Molly Roberts (4th, 50 fly, :27.42), Olivia Anderson (5th, 50 back, :28.35) and Molly Logsdon (4th, 50 breast, :32.22)
The Hornets also finished fifth in the mixed 200 medley (Olivia Anderson, Grant Anger, Molly Roberts, Sharif Shaker -1:45.76).
Kalamazoo returns home to face Albion in a dual meet on Saturday, Oct. 27.
