ALBION, Mich. - Members of the Kalamazoo College men's and women's cross country team competed in distance events at Albion's Spring Thaw track meet on Friday. 

The top finishers for Kalamazoo in each event were as follows:

Women
800 Meters - Hannah Schurman (2:44.47) - 15th
1500 Meters - Anna Varitek (5:04.12) - 3rd
5000 Meters - Rachael Gallap (19:15.17) 1st (winner)

Men
800 Meters - Patrick Dunfee (2:26.09) - 12th
1500 Meters - Zach Ufkes (5:08.74) - 13th

The Hornets are scheduled to compete next at the MIAA Championship Meet at Alma on May 6.
