Title: Director of Athletics
Phone: (269) 337-7090
Email: rhall@kzoo.edu

Becky Hall began as Kalamazoo College's director of athletics in July of 2018. She oversees all phases of the College's athletic program and its 18 collegiate athletic teams, involving nearly a quarter of the student body. She also is responsible for the physical education program, athletic training and the College's fitness and wellness programs.

Hall came to K from Oglethorpe University in Georgia, where she served as the director of athletics for six years. Prior to that she was at Ohio's Wittenberg University.

At Oglethorpe, Hall supervised all phases of the athletic program and its 16 varsity and six junior varsity teams. She helped build a team of coaches that guided Oglethorpe to its best year athletically and implemented new standards and traditions to make athletics a more integral part of the campus community.

Prior to arriving at Oglethorpe, Hall worked at Wittenberg from 1998 to 2012. After one season as assistant softball coach she was promoted to head coach, a position she held for 14 seasons. During her second season, she led the team to its first North Coast Athletic Conference championship, first NCAA Tournament appearance and first NCAA Tournament victory. She again led the team to a conference championship and NCAA appearance in 2003.

While continuing to coach softball, Hall became Wittenberg's director of intramurals and club sports, and director of summer aquatics in 2003. In 2007 she transitioned to assistant director of athletics and senior woman administrator, supervising 10 varsity athletic teams.

Hall earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1998 at Urbana University, where she was a standout softball player. She received a master's degree in sport management at California University of Pennsylvania in 2009.

Hall has an extensive background in community service projects, including events supporting cancer research, diabetes research, Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity and special needs and elementary-age children. She currently is a member of the NCAA Division III National Volleyball Committee and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. She has been a facilitator and keynote speaker at the NCAA Career in Sports Forum and a member of two National Fastpitch Coaches Association committees.
