Kalamazoo College's Ryan Orr and Ian Kobernick became the first players in program history to earn All-American honors as both players were recognized by D3baseball.com today. Orr was selected as a second-team All-American utility player (Pitcher/Second Base) while Kobernick was selected as a third- team All-American outfielder.

Orr, a junior from DeWitt, Mich. (Bath HS) was an All-MIAA first team selection for the second consecutive year and was also named the MIAA's Co-Most Outstanding Pitcher. On the mound Orr set multiple school records including career ERA (2.38), wins (22), saves (8) and strikeouts (2017). When not pitching Orr played second base and was third on the team in batting (.331), hits (47) and RBIs (31). He earned D3baseball.com and ABCA All-Region honors for the second consecutive season before today's All-American honor.

Kobernick, a senior centerfielder from Huntington Woods, Mich. (Berkley HS), was an All-MIAA first team outfielder who began the season with a 19-game hitting streak and led the Hornets in every offensive category. Kobernick broke school records in a season for runs (48), hits (74), doubles (17), RBIs (52) and at-bats (173). He also set new school records for career runs (127), hits (225) and doubles (50) while finishing with a career batting average of .371. Kobernick also earned all-region honors for the first time this season, being recognized as a first-team selection by both D3baseball.com and the ABCA.

Kalamazoo set a school record for wins this year finishing 31-14 overall and second in the MIAA while advancing to a second consecutive MIAA Tournament championship game.
