Baseball splits series finale with Albion

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team split the series finale with Albion on Monday. The Hornets won three out of four in the series after winning Monday's opener 2-0 and losing the finale 6-2.

Game One

Kalamazoo won the opener 2-0 in a game that last just 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Stefan Leclerc put Kalamazoo up 1-0 with an RBI double in the second inning. Alex Fultz had an RBI single in the sixth to make it 2-0.

Ryan Orr went the distance on the mound allowing just two hits in the game while striking out six and walking one. He held the Britons hitless through the first three innings. Orr also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a stolen base.

Game Two

Jordan Wiley drove in a run in the second and Stefan Leclerc hit a home run in the fourth to put Kalamazoo up 2-0. Albion scored six runs ovver the final four innings, however, to pick up the win.

Chase Coselman, Alex Fultz and Stefan Leclerc each had two hits in the game.

Kalamazoo returns to action Saturday, April 28 at Alma. The Hornets are scheduled to host Alma on Sunday, April 29.
