Ryan Orr was selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for his performances in games between April 16-22. Orr was named the MIAA Pitcher of the Week yesterday.
Orr threw his second career no-hitter in a 7-0 win over Albion last Wednesday. The senior struck out nine while walking just one.
On Saturday Orr earned his second win of the week with two innings of no-hit relief work in Kalamazoo's 4-3 win over Calvin in extra innings. Orr finished the week not allowing a hit in nine innings of work while striking out 10 and walking one.
In addition to his work on the mound, Orr went 9-for-25 at the plate (.360) while also playing left field when not pitching.
This is Orr's second career D3baseball.com Team of the Week selection. He was previously selected in 2016 following his no-hitter at Olivet.
