Baseball completes sweep at Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team completed a four-game sweep of Olivet with a pair of road wins to finish the season Sunday afternoon, 5-4 and 15-4.

The wins gave Kalamazoo sole possession of second place in the final MIAA standings with a 17-11 league record, the second-most conference wins in school history. Kalamazoo also secured its fourth consecutive 20-win season.

Game One

Kalamazoo led 5-0 after the top of the sixth before Olivet rallied for four runs in the final two innings before coming up short. 

Jacob Gilhaus earned the win in the complete game performance with six strikeouts and zero walks.

Chase Coselman was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Josh Reuter had two hits while Alex Fultz drove in two runs.

Game Two

Olivet scored in the bottom of the first and led 1-0 after four innings. Kalamazoo scored five runs in the top of the fifth and led 15-1 after eight innings. Olivet scored three times in the bottom of the ninth to make it 15-4.

Jordan Wiley went 3-for-4 with a double, two walks, two RBIs and three runs scored.

Todd Bonnivier also had three hits including two doubles with two RBIs. 

Chase Coselman and Zach Prystash each drove in two runs while Andre Gard homered with two RBIs. 

Connor Grant and Ryan Orr each finished with two hits.
