Ryan Orr earned ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honors for the third consecutive year as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Tuesday. The ABCA/Rawlings honor came a day after Orr's third consecutive selection as a D3baseball.com All-Region selection.

A senior from DeWitt, Mich., Orr is the 2018 ABCA/Rawlings All-Mideast Region Second Team Utility Player. He was also the second team utility player in 2017 and a first team pitcher in 2016.

On the mound, Orr led the Hornets with an 8-1 record with one save and a 1.81 ERA. He struck out 60 while walking just five in 54.2 innings of work. His eight wins and two saves both tied school records. Orr threw his second career no-hitter in a 7-0 win over Albion leading to MIAA Pitcher of the Week, NCBWA Pitcher of the Week and D3baseball.com Team of the Week honors.

Offensively Orr led the team in batting average (.368) with 14 RBIs and 10 stolen bases.

For his career, Orr holds school records for wins (30), ERA (2.28), innings pitched (288.2), strikeouts (267), complete games (21), shutouts (5) and saves (9).

Orr was recognized as an All-MIAA First Team Pitcher for the third consecutive year at the end of the conference season.

Kalamazoo finished the 2018 season with a 20-19 record overall and second in the MIAA with a 17-11 league record. It was Kalamazoo's fourth consecutive 20-plus win season, and the senior class recorded the most wins (95) over a four-year period in school history.
