Baseball Splits at Albion

ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team split a conference doubleheader at Albion on Saturday. Kalamazoo won the opener, 5-2, before dropping the second game, 10-7.

Game One

Kalamazoo scored three runs in the second and two in the third while limiting Albion to one run in the second and one in the fifth.

Albion had eight hits in the game compared to seven by Kalamazoo.

Doug Propson and Spencer Baldwin each had two hits.

Jack Brockhaus went six innings in the win. Joe Wade picked up the save.

Game Two

Albion took advantage of six runs in the third and four the in fourth to take a 10-3 lead. Kalamazoo rallied with four runs in the seventh and had the bases loaded when the game ended.

Albion had 12 hits in the game compared to six by Kalamazoo.

Noah Hecht led the Hornets with two hits.

Chase Coselman had a double, two runs, and two RBIs.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to host Albion in a conference doubleheader on Sunday, April 18 at 1 p.m.
