Baseball Drops Home Opener to Albion

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team lost its home opener 3-1 to Albion College on Sunday.

The visiting Britons scored one run in each of the first two innings. Kalamazoo made it 2-1 with a run in the third. Albion added a run in the fifth while holding the Hornets scoreless the rest of the way.

Albion had 10 hits in the game compared to nine by Kalamazoo. The Hornets left 13 runners on base.

Spencer Baldwin had three hits including two doubles with an RBI.

Lukas Bolton had two hits including a double. Doug Propson also had two hits.

Harrison Poeszat also had a double in the game.

Kalamazoo returns to action Tuesday with a single game against Hope at home beginning at 4 p.m.
