Baseball Drops Series Finale to Trine

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team dropped the series finale to Trine 7-5 on Monday at Woodworth Field. The Hornets won the series after sweeping Sunday's doubleheader at Trine.

Kalamazoo scored three runs in the bottom of the first and led 5-3 after five innings. The visiting Thunder scored a run in the seventh before taking a 6-5 lead with two in the eighth. Trine added one more run in the ninth.

Trine had 14 hits in the game compared to 11 by Kalamazoo.

Spencer Baldwin had three hits in the game including a single, double and triple. He also drove in two runs.

Noah Hecht had two hits including a double. Harrison Poeszat had two hits including a double and an RBI.

Lukas Bolton and Cooper Mills each drove in a run.

Kalamazoo returns to action Wednesday, April 13 with a single game at Hope starting at 4 p.m.
