Baldwin Named MIAA Position Player of the Week

Kalamazoo College's Spencer Baldwin was named MIAA Position Player of the Week on Monday.

A senior from Lansing, Mich. (Holt), Baldwin helped the Hornets win the MIAA Tournament and earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championships last week. In three tournament games, Baldwin went 6-for-14 (.429) with one double, two home runs and four RBIs. He also walked twice and scored six times. Baldwin was errorless in the field in 29 chances at first base. He was also named the All-MIAA First Team first baseman last week.

On the season, Baldwin is hitting .401 with 12 doubles, four triples, eight home runs and 41 RBIs. 

Kalamazoo (26-11) travels to Marrietta later this week for an NCAA III Regional. The Hornets face host Marietta in the opener on Friday, May 20.
