Dillon Haviland
Dillon Haviland
Title: Assistant Coach

Dillon Haviland enters his third season as a member of the Kalamazoo College baseball coaching staff. He serves as the assistant pitching coach and bullpen coach and was an important part of Kalamazoo advancing to the program’s first NCAA Regional in 2016 and tallying 31 wins in 2017.

Haviland pitched for the Gateway Grizzlies, a member of the Frontier League, making seven starts and compiling a record of 2-2 in 2015.

From 2010-2015, Haviland attended Duke University, graduating with degrees in political science and history, and pitching for the Blue Devils as both a starter and member of the bullpen. In his senior season Haviland started the final seven ACC weekend series and posted a career best 3.40 ERA, going 3-1 and collecting wins against Columbia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.

After his redshirt junior season, Haviland had the opportunity to play in the inaugural season of the Kalamazoo Growlers in the Northwoods League under the guidance of Coach Ott who served as the team’s pitching coach.

Haviland is a native of McDonald, Pa. He attended South Fayette High School and was drafted in the 48th round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Dillon currently resides in Kalamazoo, Mich.
