Football falls at Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College football team lost 35-6 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play at Olivet on Saturday.

The host Comets scored a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter and another early in the second quarter while taking a 21-0 lead into halftime.

Kalamazoo got on the board early in the third quarter with a 7-yard run by Alex White at the 9:42 mark.

Olivet added a touchdown in the third and another in the fourth to secure the win.

Olivet gained 373 yards of total offense while limiting Kalamazoo to 242.

Alex White was 17-of-44 passing for 218 yards with an interception.

Zak Zagon had four catches for 68 yards while Seth Dexter had four catches for 64 yards. Collin Feilla was limited to three catches for 43 yards.

Jakob Frederick led the Hornet defense with 13 total tackles while Clayton Meldrum had 12.

Andrew Thiede, Matt Burczyk, Ryan Andrusz and Ben Toledo were each in on sacks.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Trine next week for the annual Homecoming game at 2 p.m.
