Kalamazoo College seniors Quentin Sweeney and Sai Klein will suit up for Team Stars & Stripes in the annual Tazón de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) game on Dec. 16 at Cetys University in Mexico.
After a week of practice, community service and experiencing the local culture, the 40-man Team Stars & Stripes made up of NCAA Division III seniors will play against the CONADEIP all-stars from Mexico's private universities.
Klein (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley HS) started on the offensive line for the Hornets in 2017. Sweeney (Wayland, Mich./Wayland HS) was an All-MIAA Second Team selection at linebacker.
Klein and Sweeney are the 11th and 12th Hornets, respectively, to play in the Tazón de Estrellas.
