VanFaussien Named ALC Hornet of the Week 10/2/18

Zach VanFaussien was selected as the Kalamazoo College Athletic Leadership Council's men's Hornet of the Week for his performance during Kalamazoo's 31-30 win over Adrian on Saturday. 

VanFaussien, a senior from Beverly Hills, Mich. (Groves HS), was instrumental in the win for the Hornets that moved the team's record to 4-0. He went 24 for 40 in the air for 240 yards and three touchdowns. The quarterback added 96 yards on the ground.

Zach led the game winning drive and threw the touchdown pass with 39 seconds left to give the Hornets the lead. The final drive was 13 plays, 87 yards in two minutes and seven seconds. On that drive, VanFaussien went five for nine passing for 58 yards and rushed the ball four times for 26 yards. 

This marks the second time that VanFaussien has been honored as Hornet of the Week by the Kalamazoo College ALC. 

The football team returns to play on Saturday, Oct. 6 in Finlandia at 1 p.m.
