KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Kalamazoo College's Jamison Brown was named the Special Teams Player of the Week by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association on Monday for his effort in the Hornets 20-19 win over Albion.

Brown delivered the highlight of the game for Kalamazoo when he scooped up Albion's punt that was blocked by Matt Kralick and ran it back 30 yards for a touchdown. The play occurred just nine seconds into the fourth quarter and put the Hornets up 13-6.

The freshman linebacker from Detroit, Mich. (Cass Tech HS) has appeared in all six games for the Hornets this season. While playing primarily on the special teams units, Brown has collected four total tackles with three of those coming in conference play.

The Kalamazoo College football team returns to play on Saturday, Oct. 20 against Alma. The Homecoming game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
