In a release from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Friday afternoon, Kalamazoo College's Chase Baysdell was named to the All-MIAA men's basketball second team for his efforts throughout the 2015-16 season.

A junior from Sandusky, Mich., Baysdell seemingly did it all for the Hornets during the season-long campaign. The swift-footed forward led Kalamazoo in scoring (15.0 ppg), rebounding (7.8 rpg) and assists (3.4 apg).

In conference play, Baysdell ranked third in minutes played, free throws made and defensive rebounds. He ranked fifth in assists and rebounds per game.

In Kalamazoo's 25 games this year, Baysdell managed to score in double figures in all but five games. He recorded six double-doubles on the season and scored a career-high 27 points against Schreiner on Dec. 18.

This is the first season Baysdell is being honored with All-MIAA distinction.
