ADRIAN, Mich. – Down 57-52 with nine seconds remaining Wednesday evening, the Kalamazoo College men's basketball team's chances of walking away with a win at Adrian College looked slim.

But the tide turned quickly in the final seconds.

After Tanner Blyly knocked down a free throw courtesy of a technical foul on Adrian, the first-year point guard nailed a three-pointer with four seconds remaining cutting the Hornets' deficit to just one and in the process of getting his shot off, Chase Baysdell was fouled. With the Hornets in the bonus, Baysdell knocked down both free throws and secured the 58-57 comeback for the Hornets.

In a game highlighted by strong defense, Kalamazoo found itself down 13 with 15:12 to play in the second half, but nine points from Blyly in the second period complimented by eight from Josh Whitney allowed the Hornets to secure their second win in MIAA play this season.

In the game's entirety, Miller led K with 14 points off the bench while also grabbing five boards. Both Blyly and Jake Whitney ended the contest with 11 points and combined for seven assists.

Jimmy Paprocki scored eight on 4-of-5 shooting down low.

The Hornets will look to carry their momentum back home with them this weekend as Alma visits Anderson Athletic Center on Saturday, Jan. 28.
