Men's Basketball defeated by Anderson

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost 81-50 at Anderson University on Saturday.

The host Ravens led 14-11 after the first 10 minutes of play. The score was tied 19-19 with 7:54 left in the first half, but Anderson outscored Kalamazoo 16-7 over the final minutes to take a 35-26 lead into halftime.

Anderson gradually increased its lead throughout the second half.

Anderson shot 56.6 percent overall including 40 percent (10-25) from 3-point range. Kalamazoo shot 32.7 percent overall and was limited to 1-of-13 3's. The Hornets held a 36-31 advantage in rebounds, including 14-5 on the offensive end.

Roger Hood led the hornets with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Jimmy Paprocki and Tanner Blyly each scored eight points while Jack Smith finished with seven.

Kalamazoo plays its home opener against Illinois Tech next Saturday, Nov. 25 at 1 p.m.
