KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After completing his strong career with an outstanding senior season, Jimmy Paprocki has added his name to the Kalamazoo College men's basketball record book by setting a new mark for field goal percentage for a season.

Paprocki, a center from Berkley, shot 65.9 percent from the floor this season to break Jeff VanderWeire's program record that had stood since the 1993-94 season. Paprocki's mark was good for second in the MIAA this season.

Paprocki lead his team in more than shooting percentage this season. He led the team in scoring average, rebounding average, free throws made, offensive rebounds, total rebounds, and blocked shots. He set new career highs in scoring with 24 points against Trine and rebounding as he pulled down 12 rebounds against Olivet as part of a double-double.

In recognition of his efforts, Paprocki was named MIAA Player of the Week in the final week of the season as he helped lead the Hornets to a pair of victories to close out the year.

Coach Jay Smith said, "I couldn't be more proud of Jimmy and the hard work he has put in to gain this recognition and accomplishment. He doesn't get this record without earning the trust of his teammates, which is more a testament to him and the players we have here at K. I wish we had more time with him but he's help build the foundation for our program moving forward."
