Men's Basketball Finishes Exhibition Schedule at Oakland

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team concluded its exhibition schedule with a 99-45 loss at Division I Oakland University on Tuesday.

The host Golden Grizzlies jumped out to an early lead and led 54-17 at halftime. The Hornets were outscored 45-28 in the second half.

Oakland shot 52.9 percent from the field while Kalamazoo was limited to just 28.3 percent. Oakland held a 44-31 advantage in rebounds, including 15-11 on the offensive end.

Ben Reiter led the Hornets with 10 points.

Jeremiah Vincent and Tanner Blyly each scored eight points while Merritt Hamann finished with five.

Blyly led the team with five rebounds and three assists. Art Caldwell had four rebounds.

Kalamazoo opens the regular season at home against Concordia Chicago on Monday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
