Men's Basketball Beat at Alma

ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team was defeated by Alma on Wednesday evening 74-61. 

It was a back-and-forth first half tonight as the Hornets and Scots traded leads throughout and went to the break at a 29-29 tie. 

The game stayed close to begin the second half and Kalamazoo found itself in a 45-44 lead with just 12 minutes left. 

Alma went on a 30-16 run to end the game to defeat the Hornets by 13. 

Kalamazoo ended the game shooting 35.9 percent from the floor. The Scots connected on 72 percent of their shots in the second half to put the Hornets away. 

Tre Humes led Kalamazoo with 15 points. Jeremiah Vincent added 12 points. 

Guard Tanner Blyly contributed eight points and seven rebounds. 

Kalamazoo continues MIAA play on Saturday, Jan. 5 as it travels to Hope College for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
