Men's Basketball Falls on Road

ALBION, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team traveled to Albion College Wednesday night and suffered a 96-60 defeat at the hands of the hot-shooting Britons.

Ty Horky's layup with 13:55 remaining in the first half squared the game at 10, but Albion seized control with an 11-0 run over the next 2:24. The Britons took a 44-23 lead into halftime and the Hornets were unable to reel the home team back within 20 points at any point in the second half.

Lukas Broadsword led K with 13 points and five assists. Albion shot a blistering 58% from the field overall and sank 14 of its 25 three-point attempts (56%). The Britons also out-rebounded the Hornets 34-24 and had advantages in steals (10-6) and points in the paint (48-32). Kalamazoo (4-10, 1-2 MIAA) racked up 20 assists on the evening while Albion dished 17.

Next up for the Hornets is a road trip to Trine on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
