The 2021-22 Kalamazoo College men's basketball team was awarded the Team Academic Excellence Award from the National Association of Basketball Coaches this week. This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2021-22 season.

The Hornets posted a 3.21 team GPA for the 2021-22 season. The team was one of 300 men's basketball programs recognized across all levels of college basketball.
