The 2022-23 Kalamazoo College men's basketball team was awarded the Team Academic Excellence Award from the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Thursday (July 20). This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2022-23 season.

The team was one of 311 men's basketball programs recognized across all levels of college basketball. In addition, Ty Horky was selected to the NABC Honors Court for being a junior or senior on the varsity team, maintaining a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher, and being at a four-year institution.
