Men's Golf shoots 302 at second MIAA Qualifier

WEST OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team shot 302 at Wuskowhan in the second of three MIAA Spring Qualifying Rounds.

The top four teams from the fall compete in three rounds this spring with the top team advancing to the NCAA III Championships. The final round is scheduled to begin Saturday at 9 a.m. at Wuskowhan.

Kalamazoo finished third in the opening round last week and was fourth today, two strokes behind Trine (300). Hope remains in first place overall after shooting 282 despite coming in two strokes behind Calvin (280) today.

Phil Ritchie led Kalamazoo with a 73 on Friday. Travis Veenhuis was one stroke behind at 74.

Nick Ludka shot 76 while David Smith came in at 79.
