BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team shot 299 during the opening round of the Lou Collins Memorial Tournament hosted by Olivet at Bedford Valley on Friday. The Hornets are third overall, seven strokes out of second and eight strokes out of first.
Nick Ludka shot a 70 to tie for Friday's best score overall. Trevor Bailey tied for 10th at 74.
Jackson Jones (77) and Travis Veenhuis (78) rounded out the top four for Kalamazoo.
Saturday's final round is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
