SANDUSKY, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team finished third at Ohio Wesleyan's Battle at the Brook this weekend.
Sunday's final round was reduced to nine holes due to weather in the area. Kalamazoo was tied for first after Saturday's opening round, but the Hornets fell behind by 12 strokes on Sunday to finish third.
Jackson Jones tied for fifth overall after shooting 73 on Saturday and 37 on Sunday. Parker Pickell was 10th after shooting 72 and 40.
Travis Veenhuis and Mathew Holmes-Hackerd followed up Saturday's rounds of 76 with a 40 and 41, respectively.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to open MIAA play Wednesday, Sept. 12 at Bedford Valley.
