Men's Lacrosse cruises past North Central

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – On a cold and drizzly Thursday evening at MacKenzie Field, it was all Hornets as the Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team rolled to a 15-0 win over the North Central University Rams in the team's final non-conference tune-up.

A collective effort, the Hornets first seven goals of the game were scored by seven different players before Harrison Ramsey and Brett Fitzgerald each doubled up their total allowing K to lead 9-0 at the half.

Kalamazoo slowed the paced of play down in the second half but were led by two goals apiece from Clapton Marquis and Jake Bonifacio. Marquis and Bonifacio each ended the game with three goals.

Fitzgerald helped spread the wealth throughout the evening recording four assists, a game-high.

Also scoring multiple goals for Kalamazoo was Doug Shipp who ended the day with two goals.

Nate Silverman recorded his first career shutout between the pipes.

Riding a three-game winning streak, the Hornets are set to begin conference play on April 8 when they travel to Albion College for a noon faceoff.
