Men's Lacrosse falls in MIAA opener

ALBION, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team fell to Albion College on the road Saturday afternoon in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener. The Britons defeated the Hornets, 19-3.

The Britons jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first half before Harrison Ramsey delivered the Hornets' first goal of the day.

Brett Fitzgerald and Clapton Marquis added goals for the Hornets in the fourth quarter.

Nate Silverman was tasked with facing a bevy of shots from the Albion attack and made 12 saves in between the pipes.

With today's result, Kalamazoo falls to 4-4 on the season. The Hornets will look to pick up their first win in MIAA play on Tuesday, April 11 when they host Trine University at MacKenzie Field.
