The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team picked up an important three points in dramatic fashion on the road at Alma College Wednesday afternoon with a 2-1 win.

After heading to halftime all square, Matthew Fitz scored what looked to be the game-winning goal in the 80th minute when he placed a shot in the upper right corner giving K a 1-0 lead.

Alma responded, though, with just 48 seconds remaining leveling the score at one and sending the game to extra time.

With just two minutes remaining in double overtime, Joshua Robison scored his second goal of the season on an assist from Cal Kirchen, giving Kalamazoo sole possession of second place in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

With the win, K now sits at 4-1 in the MIAA and travels to Calvin on Saturday Oct. 3 for a game with top of the table on the line. Kickoff is set for noon.
