Men's soccer falls in OT at Calvin

The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team played extra time for the second straight Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association match, but the Hornets were unable to make the breakthrough against Calvin College Saturday afternoon.

The Knights defeated the Hornets 1-0 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

After a scoreless 90 minutes of play, Calvin's Micah Beard gave Calvin the win in the 98th minute getting a shot past Kalamazoo's Griffin Hamel.

The Hornets were outshot 13-6 in the game.

Despite the loss, Kalamazoo still remains in second place in the MIAA and will head home for a match with Adrian College on Tuesday Oct. 6. Kickoff is schedule fro 7 p.m.
