Men’s Soccer falls on the road at Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis. - In a physical game featuring five yellow cards and 27 total fouls, the Kalamazoo College men's soccer team was defeated by Carthage College 4-1.

Carthage opened the scoring 39 minutes into the first half with a goal from Kevin Mahoney. K answered just seconds before halftime when Nick Kraeuter recorded his first goal of the season, finishing off an assist from Daniel Qin. The Hornets were unable to overcome three Carthage goals in a span of five minutes in the second half and the Red Men finished the game with a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal. Griffin Hamel recorded six saves in the losing effort.

The Hornets return to action on September 8th at 3 p.m. at Ohio Northern.
