Melgar's goal lifts Men's Soccer

ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team picked up a road win Saturday afternoon defeating Albion 1-0.

This conference matchup remained goalless through 88 minutes of play despite being a physical game in which 23 total fouls were called. K finally found the back of the net as Ryan Melgar finished off an assist from fellow freshman Ben Meschke with just over a minute remaining. The goal which secured the win for the Hornets was Melgar's team leading fourth of the season. Griffin Hamel made three saves behind K's strong backline to earn the shutout.

Kalamazoo will return home to MacKenzie Field to face Olivet in the second half of a doubleheader on Tuesday night.
