Men's Soccer Defeated at No. 16 Hope

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team lost 2-1 at No. 16 Hope College Saturday evening.

Jacob Lopez Pink put the Hornets ahead scoring the only goal of the first half in the 35th minute.

Hope evened the score with a goal in the 50th minute.

The score remained tied until the 88th minute when Hope scored an own goal as Kalamazoo's defender unintentionally chipped the ball back into his own goal.

Kalamazoo registered 11 shots in the game compared to nine for Hope, however the Flying Dutchmen managed a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Kalamazoo returns to action Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Trine.
