ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team travelled to Albion Wednesday evening for an MIAA match with the Brits that ended in a 1-1 draw.

Following a scoreless first half, Albion struck first when Alex Spratte connected on an Erik Vanfossen pass to get the Brits out to a 1-0 lead.

After about 25 minutes of play, senior forward Collin Sweet scored the equalizer for Kalamazoo that eventually sent the match to overtime.

The two teams went scoreless in both overtime periods to end the match at 1-1.

Although the Hornets were outshot 24 to nine (10-5 SOG), goalie Luke Kastran came up with nine big saves for Kalamazoo to preserve the draw.

The Hornets will continue conference play on Saturday, Oct. 20 when they travel to Calvin College for a 7:00 p.m. match with the Knights.
