KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team began its season with a 1-0 victory over Ohio Wesleyan University Friday evening.
After a scoreless first half, Ben Meschke capitalized for the Hornets as he connected with the lone goal of the game with less than four minutes remaining.
Ohio Wesleyan outshot Kalamazoo 27-8 on the game.
Goalie Luke Kastran delivered a clean sheet for Kalamazoo with nine saves.
The Hornets return to action on Saturday, Aug. 31 as they host Illinois Wesleyan at 6 p.m.
