Kalamazoo Shuts out Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team defeated Trine 2-0 on Monday afternoon to pick up its fourth straight win on the season. 

The Hornets scored their first goal of the contest behind a solo shot by Ben Meschke at 24:56 in the first half. This marks the third goal this season for Meschke, who leads Kalamazoo in goals scored. 

Kalamazoo went up 2-0 when Emilio Romo scored his first goal of the season in the 70th minute, assisted by Gold Afolabi

The visiting Hornets had 15 shots on goal to Trine's nine. 

Goalie Luke Kastran grabbed a season-high four saves in the net for Kalamazoo. 

The Hornets are scheduled to return to the field on April 8 at home against Calvin.
