SAGINAW, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's swimming & diving team opened the season with a 148-83 loss at Saginaw Valley State University. 

The Hornets picked up a couple wins in the final events including Colin Grogan's win in the 3-meter diving event (229.40).

Sharif Shaker had a second place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:46.99). 

Kalamazoo is scheduled to compete again on Oct. 27 in the MIAA Relays hosted by Calvin.
