Jason Lintjer joined the Kalamazoo College swimming and diving program as an assistant coach and the program's recruiting coordinator prior to the beginning of the 2016-17 season.
Lintjer began his coaching career in 2012 at Spring Lake High School after a successful career in the pool at Michigan State University and his success as a student-athlete immediately transferred to his success as a coach. From 2013-2016, Lintjer was named the Coastal Conference Coach of the Year in each respective season. Spring Lake also broke six school records during his tenure.
From 2012-2015, Lintjer served as the summer head coach for the Spring Lake recreation team. Along with his assistant coaching role at Kalamazoo, he continues to work as the head coach and aquatics director at Spring Lake Country Club.
As a member of the Michigan State swim team, Lintjer earned Academic All-Big Ten honors from 2010-2012. He also held the Spartans' 200 medley relay record for a stint.
The former high school All-American currently resides in Grand Rapids with his American Eskimo dog, Norman.
