Men's Tennis wins 6-3 at SCAD Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team won 6-3 at SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) Atlanta on Tuesday. The host Bees are one of the top teams in the nation in the NAIA while Kalamazoo improved to 6-4 on the season with the win.

Kalamazoo took a 2-1 lead after narrow wins at one and three doubles. David DeSimone and Elan Dantus won 9-8(3) at one while Eric De Witt and Spencer Navarre won 9-8(8) at three.

SCAD Atlanta evened the score at 2-2 with a win at one singles. Kalamazoo regained the lead with 6-1, 6-1 win by Spencer Navarre at four singles and a 6-0, 6-2 win by Guillermo Dominguez at six singles. 

SCAD Atlanta made it 4-3 with a three set win at two singles before Eric De Witt clinched the win for the Hornets with a 7-6(5), 6-2 win at three singles. Alberto Ayala made it a 6-3 final with a 0-6, 6-1, 7-5 win at five singles.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Augustana on Sunday, March 29.
