Men's Tennis cruises to MIAA final

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team took care of Calvin College handily Thursday afternoon in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association semifinal at Stowe Stadium.

The Hornets defeated the Knights, 5-0, and the final four matches ended unfinished.

All three doubles teams defeated their Knight counterparts by a score of 8-2. Branden Metzler and Elan Dantus played one doubles, Robert Hudson and Eric De Witt played two doubles and Allen Vinson and Ricardo DelOlmo-Parrado took care of three dobules.

Metzler, ranked No. 18 in the country, picked up his second win of the day sweeping Matt Buesing 6-0, 6-0 at one singles.

Spence Navarre clinched the victory for the Hornets winning 6-1, 6-1 at six singles.

With the Hornets' win, Kalamazoo will compete in the MIAA final tomorrow afternoon at Stowe Stadium.
