ANGOLA, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team won its MIAA opener 9-0 at Trine on Saturday. Kalamazoo swept all three doubles points before winning all six singles matches in straight sets.
Winning two matches on the day were Branden Metzler (1 singles, 1 doubles), Eric De Witt (3 singles, 2 doubles), Zack Ray (6 singles, 2 doubles) and Daniel Henry (2 singles, 3 doubles).
Elan Dantus and Ricardo DelOlmo-Parrado earned wins at one and three doubles, respectively. Noah Karoub (4) and Spencer Navarre (5) earned wins in singles.
Kalamazoo returns home to face Olivet on Wednesday, April 5 at 4 p.m.
