Kalamazoo College's Daniel Henry was selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday.
A sophomore from Kalamazoo, Mich. (Kalamazoo Central HS), Henry advanced to the quarterfinals of both the singles and doubles draws of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Champinoships held in Kalamazoo over the weekend.
Henry was the No. 7 seed in singles and won four matches before falling to the No. 1 seed in the quarterfinals.
Henry and Tytus Metzler were the No. 8 seed in doubles where they won three matches before bowing out to the No. 2 seeded pair in quarterfinals.
This is Henry's fourth MIAA Player of the Week honor. He was recognized three times as a freshman last season.
The Hornets are scheduled to open the spring portion of their season on Feb. 4, 2018 at Wabash.
